ICP SENSOR BOX:
The ICP electric sensor-to-air control box is designed to sit alongside a pneumatic auto-filling machine and/or automatic capers like the ICP-M2 filler, ICP-AC1 capper, ASSET AMF-4, AV-3 twin filers, ASSET AC-1 cappers, or any other filling and capping equipment that requires a pneumatic signal to operate.
ICP Sensor boxes work by taking an electric signal from proximity, retro-reflective or IRD sensors and converting the sensor signal to an air signal that the machine requires.
This removes the need for whisker-style switches and overcomes the common issue of light containers getting caught on whiskers and halting production.
More importantly, it reduces the downtime due to faulty or broken whiskers because sensors are easily accessible and interchangeable from all major manufacturers like SICK, OMRON, FESTO etc…
The sensor box can be easily retrofitted to most pneumatic-based filling and capping lines. It’s available as a standalone sensor box or fitted to a conveyor as pictured. Sensor boxes can accommodate up to 4 sensors, allowing NBNF function (No Bottle No Fill) on both the filler and capper.
Whisker sensor:
Air whisker valves are the standard inclusion on most pneumatic-based automatic fillers and capping machines.
It works by a very fine wire whisker that, when a container brushes past, activates an air signal back to the machine. The benefits of the air whisker are that it is not biased by the type of container, colour, or shape usually is not an issue. However, very light plastic containers can create some challenges.
Gates:
Gates are used to hold and release containers under nozzles and to time release containers into the capping jaws.
Rentafill has a range of gating options to cater for the majority of applications – from standard long gates to change-over gate sets for smaller containers or even customised flat gating.
